Who We Are
Lynne Hale Director of CAL
Lynne set up CAL in 2014 after a 35-yr career spanning the voluntary sector in London and teaching and leadership in higher education in both the US and UK. Her last CEO post was leading Haringey Shed, inclusive theatre for children and young people for six years. She is an experienced Action Learning facilitator and runs CAL groups, offers one-to-one coaching and mentoring as well as fundraising and running the organisation. Lynne also trained as an actor and photographer and her current volunteer work includes board membership of arts and intergenerational charities.
Antoinette Kudoe-Flood Finance
Antoinette is an accountant and has worked with small businesses and charities for 9 years. She manages the CAL finances and is also Treasurer on the CAL board. In her spare time she does 5-rhythm dancing and is a passionate eater of vegan food.
Diana Parkinson Monitoring and Evaluation
Diana has worked in the not-for-profit sector for 30 years. After working for a number of charities, she set up her own monitoring and evaluation consultancy and works both nationally and internationally. In 1996, she set up Birth Companions (a charity working with vulnerable women during pregnancy, birth and early motherhood) and continues to chair the organization. Diana supports the monitoring and evaluation of CAL and is also a member of the board. In her spare time, she enjoys singing, swimming in the ladies pond and sailing.
Fiona Ash Governance, HR and Strategy
Fiona is a principal consultant and Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Charity Effectiveness at Cass Business School specializing in governance, leadership and organisational development. She runs Action Learning programmes for the masters students at Cass CCE and is an ILM qualified business coach and mentor. She also brings her expertise in governance to the CAL board. Fiona is also a founding Director of Working Chance.
Jan Hall Action Learning facilitation
Jan has spent 8 years as a consultant Action Learning facilitator and ILM recognised trainer in both public and private sectors as well as in not-for-profit organisations like the British Red Cross. She managed Citizens Advice centres in south London for many years. She is on the executive of the charity the International Foundation for Action Learning. Jan is a CAL associate working on specialist projects like the CAL retirement/aging project. She lives on a narrowboat and wants to explore (eventually!) all 2000 miles of the UK inland waterways.
Iain Lanyon Design, website and marketing
Iain is a graphic designer working in the performing arts. He looks after the graphics and branding for mimelondon, the Edinburgh Comedy Awards and Greenwich+Docklands International Festival. He also teaches, and is currently mentoring state school pupils applying to study English at Oxbridge.
Elsa Maishman Admin, Social Media and Publicity
Elsa is in her second year of studying French and Spanish at the University of Cambridge. In her spare time she writes for her student newspaper, and does admin and publicity work for CAL. She is hoping to pursue a career in the not-for-profit sector, with an emphasis on technology and development.
